![]() ![]() past have argued that the poor has benefited more from these policies, some found that there was positive real growth yet poverty and inequality still worsened, and this can be traced to the nature of growth pursued and the poverty reduction policies that underline it. Over 130 of the world’s best researchers from 43 organisations across Africa and Europe are focused on improving the evidence base around groundwater availability and management in Sub-Saharan Africa. Unlocking the Potential of Groundwater for the Poor (UPGro), is a seven-year international research programme (2013-2020) which is jointly funded by UK’s Department for International Development (D FID), Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). This study proposes a model for future informal entrepreneurship research and identifies theoretical and policy implications. It vibrates well with the existing literature and establishes the proposed model. Outcomes from field study recognized the resources and capabilities factors and variables, as well as their relationships. A content analysis technique was applied to identify the resources and capabilities factors with their associated variables and a research model was developed. An exploratory field study was undertaken, where fourteen interviews were conducted. Thus, the objective of this paper is to propose a model of informal entrepreneurship in view of resources and capabilities by examining the existing literature and field study data in the context of a developing country. However, there is an inadequate study on informal entrepreneurship growth in view of resources and capabilities. Despite increased attention from scholars and policy makers, the growth of informal entrepreneurship and its challenges have been reported continuously and are growing frequently. ![]()
